Have you heard of the 5 and 2 diet or the " Fast Diet" ? If not you might have been under a rock recently because everyone is talking about the diet that allows you to feast for two days a week and fast for 2 more. Nutritionists, celebrities and doctors like the 5 and 2 diet because results are showing that it works well and dieters lose mainly fat while on the Fast Diet which in turn has demonstrated lower cholesterol and most importantly dieter commitment to the program.
On the 2 days of fast ( which do not have to be consecutive) the dieter must consume no more than 500 calories (600 for men) total that day.
The Isagenix Diet Plan is quite similar to the Fast diet in that we also advocate 2 days of fasting in a nine day period, we refer to it as cleansing days. While we recommend the other days of the week you replace 2 of your meals with one of our Isalean shakes and a 3rd sensible meal and approved snacks, sorry no "feasting" .
